Finding The Right Custom Home Theater Installer
Your home theater installation is an investment, just like buying a car or repairs to your home, therefore you will want to be sure you select the appropriate installer for your needs. Your installation needs may vary, therefore consider the type of work you are looking for the installer to do when evaluating against the criteria below. You will want to consider the following before selecting a home theater installer.

Warranty/Satisfaction Guarantee – A good installer should be willing to back up their work with some sort of guarantee. Normally this can be anywhere from 90 days to 3 years. Therefore discuss with your installer.

Insurance – Liability insurance is a must. Your installer should be insured in case they damage your home and also in case they get hurt on the job. Make sure they are properly insured for both.

Free Estimate – This should include a willingness to walk through your building plans or your existing home, with you, to gain an understanding of what you are looking for and to provide input in how things can be achieved. Concluding with an cost estimate for the work that needs to be done.

References – Ask for references for similar work to what you are asking to be done.

Wiring Diagram – If any wiring is done in your home make sure you are provided with a wiring diagram that represents the wiring. This will be extremely valuable later on in case problems come up or changes are desired.
