LCD TV Wall Mounts do much more than just hold your TV on the wall. Mounts can tilt the TV up and down, rotate left and right or an articulating mount can do a combination of both, rotating left and tilting down for example. As a general rule, mounts that rotate or tilt will not hold the TV as close to the wall as those that do not. Also the cheaper mounts tend to be thicker and hold the TV further off the wall. Therefore keep this in mind when deciding which mount is right for you. The slimmest mount is normally the basic mount that does not tilt or rotate. There are also options for built in cases that require modifications to the wall but will allow for the TV to remain close to the wall while providing the functionality of tilting and rotating. Last you may want to consider a mirror or picture frame for your TV.
Be sure your TV is properly mounted. The proper mounting methods depend on the surface the television will be mounted to. Normally this is 2*4 based dry wall or stone, both work fine with proper fasters. Also try to mount your TV out of direct sunlight, if that is not possible, several options are available.
