There are several types to consider when choosing your Plasma TV Wall Mount. In general the more functionality the mount provides the further off the wall the TV will be since the mount takes up space.
Flat Plasma TV Mount – A flat Plasma TV mount is generally used to keep the television as close to the wall as possible. When framing the TV and mounting as a picture. Some mounts can mount the TV as little as 1 inch from the wall.
Tilting Plasma TV Mount – This allows tilting of the TV forward and we recommend at least this for all TVs. Usually you will want a slight downward tilt to your TV as it is usually mounted above eye level (bottom of the TV should be at eye level when seated).
Rotating Wall Mount For Plasma TV – This allows movement from left to right. Very useful if the plasma tv wall mount bracket is not centered on the seating area. The television can be turned to provide better viewing angles.
Articulating Rotating Wall Mount For Plasma TV – This mount does it all allowing the television to tilt, rotate, pan and extend. Drawback is that the mount takes up room so the television is away from the wall. But then again the purpose of a mount that extends is to allow the television to move away from the wall.
Plasma TV Ceiling Mount – For mounting your Plasma television from the ceiling. These can be as simple as a stationary mount or complex with motorized lifts.
