Wall Mount TV Shelf

A wall mount TV shelf is a comparatively simple way to mount a plasma TV flat screen or LCD TV flat screen on the wall. Many wall mounts for flat screen high definition TVs are designed to rest behind the TV screen and attach to the back of the screen. A wall mounted TV shelf gives you a shelf on which you can rest the TV flat screen.

This makes it easier for you to use the TV wall shelf mount with a wide variety of TV screens (as long as they are roughly the same length as the wall mount TV shelf and as long as they are not too heavy for the weight tolerance of the TV wall shelf mount). It also makes it a lot easier for you to change from one TV flat screen to another. All you have to do is take the one screen off of the shelf mount and put another one on. This kind of flexibility makes it much simpler to replace your TV if you need to.

The main down side for using a TV wall mount with shelf is that it might not look as good on the wall as if you used a mount which is obscured by the screen of the TV itself. However, if the much greater convenience of installation and use is important to you, and if you simply want to be able to watch your plasma or LCD TV flat screen without going through a lot of trouble setting it up, then a TV wall shelf mount may be the best choice for you. Of course, you have to keep in mind that with a TV wall shelf mount, there is not going to be a lot of leeway for you to change the direction in which the TV screen points if you have to move things around in the room – basically from that point on you are going to have to see to it that the furniture for watching the TV is organized around pointing directly at that part of the wall.

You should also keep in mind that you need to make sure the TV screen is very securely fastened to the TV wall shelf mount, because if it isn’t then strong vibrations or some unexpected force on the TV screen could cause it to fall off. Just use caution to make a strong connection and it should work fine, however.
